Fanny Milan was born with two faces, four eyes, and two mouths, making her a rare case of a diprosopus. The chances of such a condition occurring are extremely low, and her mother was terrified at her birth, fearing ridicule from friends and family. To protect her daughter, her mother isolated her from the outside world, allowing only close relatives to see her. Milan never attended school formally; instead, she was taught reading and arithmetic by a private tutor. She is afraid of strangers and worries about the questions they might ask, such as whether her two mouths argue or if her eyes can read in sync. As a result, she often covers one side of her face with a scarf to avoid drawing attention. Now 18 years old, a doctor has suggested surgery to remove the extra face, but she is not interested, as she has grown accustomed to her life. Milan's greatest wish is to find a boyfriend; after living in solitude for 18 years, she longs for someone to share her thoughts with. Every time she sees couples together, she feels a deep sadness.
