The question of where humans originated remains a topic of debate: is it East Africa or Asia?
Since the discovery of numerous early human fossils in East Africa in the 1950s, Africa has been regarded as the primary candidate for the origin of humankind. However, the theory suggesting that humans originated in Asia has also gained considerable support. As early as 1871, Darwin speculated that humans evolved from some ancient ape species in the Old World, thereby raising the possibility of Africa as the birthplace of humanity. In the early 20th century, the discovery of Australopithecus fossils and ancient human remains in Africa provided strong evidence for this viewpoint. At the same time, some scholars argue that Central Asia and South Asia could also be the origins of humans, as the environmental changes and patterns of animal migration in these regions support this theory. Currently, the origin of humans remains an unsolved mystery that requires more archaeological evidence to provide clarity.
