Recently, a remarkable story emerged from New York, USA: the world's first pregnant man gave birth to a healthy baby boy in March 1997, weighing 3.8 kilograms! This 33-year-old man, temporarily referred to as 'Mr. Mom,' expressed his excitement, saying, 'Do you agree with me? This is indeed a tremendous miracle, and my wife and I are very happy.'
In the early hours of a March night in 1997, at a private hospital not far from New York, doctors performed a cesarean section to deliver a boy, whom the parents named Zasjin Benjamin.
Mr. Mom was one of three volunteers who responded to a call from scientists to participate in a technological revolution. He shared, 'My wife lost her ability to conceive after undergoing surgery due to illness, so the doctors suggested I participate in this experiment to help us overcome our difficulties. Without hesitation, I was the first to sign up as a volunteer.'
Experts first moved his wife's fertilized egg cells into a test tube, where they developed into embryos. Then, the embryos were implanted into the man's abdominal fat, along with a certain dose of female hormones. At this point, the embryo inside the man was completely normal.
Mr. Mom reflected, 'After being injected with female hormones, my breasts began to grow, but they have since returned to normal. I feel honored to be the first man in the world to experience pregnancy and childbirth for my wife.'
His wife also expressed her emotions, saying, 'Having one child is enough for us! However, in the past, I dreamed of having a big family with 5 to 6 children. After giving birth, my husband gained 18 kilograms, but he was quite thin before we decided to have this child.'
The medical experts who assisted in the delivery believe that there are no longer any taboos regarding childbirth, and from now on, men can also bear children just like women. This successful experiment allowing men to give birth will serve as a groundbreaking milestone in rewriting human history.
