On April 25, 1977, the Japanese deep-sea trawler 'Ruiyang Maru' captured the body of an unknown creature in New Zealand waters. This specimen measured 10 meters in length, had a neck that was 1.5 meters long, and weighed nearly 2 tons. It was mistakenly identified as a plesiosaur, shark, or reptile. Despite extensive research by scientists, its exact identity remains undetermined. Photographs reveal an unusually long neck, a small head, a massive abdomen, and large flippers. Scientists have proposed various hypotheses based on the analysis of the fins and skeletal sketches, but all lack conclusive evidence. To this day, the debate surrounding this mysterious creature continues.
