However, doubts have lingered about whether she truly died there. This 19-year-old girl was a national hero in the eyes of the French, but merely a threat to the English forces. During her execution, Joan called out the name of Jesus and ultimately perished in the flames. Her brother, seeking profit, orchestrated a hoax claiming she was still alive, a lie that persisted for centuries. It wasn't until 1440 that the truth began to emerge. Joan's faith and actions sparked much controversy at the time, and her amenorrhea remains an unsolved mystery to this day. Nevertheless, we continue to admire her indomitable spirit and love for her country.
